Christmas Eve (12-24-12)

Christmas Eve was quite uneventful around here. Cayden and I ran a few errands before things got crazy out and then we headed home. Nate got home not long after and we let Cayden nap while we just relaxed for a bit.

After his nap, Cayden “helped” make cookies for Santa, and I use that term loosely. I figured he wouldn’t be too into making cookies, so I cheated and bought the mini cookies from Nestle that we just had to pop in the oven. He did help put some on the cookie sheet and watched them in the oven, as well as, counted down the minutes on the timer. I think he really just wanted to eat a cookie!

After dinner, we had Cayden leave Santa some cookies and milk and carrots for the reindeer.

Then it was bath time. After he was “shiny” as he likes to say, he headed to his room to start his nighttime routine and found a present waiting for him!

The Pajama Elves left him some new Christmas pajamas and slippers to wear. We read the book Pajama Elves to him after he got his new pjs on. Then we opened the last door on his advent calendar and daddy read him The Night Before Christmas.

It took a LONG time for Cayden to get to sleep because he was SO excited to see what Santa left for him. Once he finally passed out, Santa stopped by!
